Hello, my name is Claire Sim, I'm currently a full time tutor I've tutored primary and secondary school students across a variety of streams, ranging from Normal Technical, Normal academic to Express. I tutor English, Mathematics and Mandarin and have seen vast improvement from my students. I tailor my curriculum according to my student's needs and even create my own worksheets for them. I've also had over 4 years of experience (3 years of part time turoring, 1 year full time) I've taught over 15 students and am also TEFL certified. I've also achieved the HSK Level 5 certification and am in the top 99% percentile scorer. Besides that, I've also scored distinctions in English, English Literature, Chinese and Higher Chinese for my O levels further proving my linguistic capabilities. English - we will improve vocabulary through reading exercises and start a vocabulary book so as to expand your vocabulary. It will be monitored every week. - grammar: I have curated a grammar rule cheat sheet together with grammar worksheets to test your child on his or her grammar skills.We often still lack significant progress when it comes to our oratory capabilities and our grammatical skills. I aim to correct this and make sure that we stop grammatical mistakes in their tracks. Math - I emphasize on practice. Memorization of formulaes will be done at the student's own time, but I will be focusing on its application during class. Many students are often stunted by word problems due to a lack of understanding about the topic or through poor English and I aim to rectify the underlying roots as to why your kid isn't scoring for mathematics.
